Bacano comes from the slopes of El Naranjal, deep in Colombia's coffee-growing heartland, at 1,900 metres above sea level. Cool nights slow the cherries down and concentrate their sugars. The natural process — fermented and dried with the full pulp on — is what gives this coffee its dense, fruit-forward character: quality cacao, a hint of lychee, and spices that appear when you least expect them.

Best brewing methods:

Espresso / Moka — Highlights cocoa and spice. Recommended ratio 1:2.5 in 27 s.

Filter (V60, Chemex) — Opens up the fruity aromas. Water at 93 °C, medium grind.

Not recommended: French press (natural process can leave a cloudy finish).
